Concept Note
Infinite Divinity Currently featured on ‘Deities of Nepal III’ at Nepal Art Council explores the boundless nature of the divine through Nepal’s rich spiritual heritage. Drawing inspiration from the sacred sculptures and icons of the Kathmandu Valley and around Nepal, the painting unites multiple deities within a single, immersive composition, emphasizing that the divine transcends individual forms, names, and traditions. Each figure represents a unique manifestation of the same infinite cosmic energy, interconnected through symbolism, mythology, and devotion. The intricate layering of forms and ornamental details reflects both the depth of Nepal’s living spiritual traditions and the extraordinary craftsmanship of its sacred art. Rooted in a land where faith is woven into everyday life, the work invites viewers to contemplate divinity as an eternal, all-encompassing presence that exists beyond boundaries of time, space, and identity. Through a contemporary maximalist visual language, the painting celebrates the limitless expressions of the sacred and humanity’s enduring connection to the infinite.
